Health and Safety

Since starting operations in 1975, we have always focused on putting our travelers first in everything we do. Our number one priority has always been and will always be the safety and well-being of our guests. Rest assured, we are committed to mitigate the spread of any illness on our tours by rigorous daily cleaning, paying close attention to the sanitization of commonly touched areas, and by having hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes available to all travelers.

There are no limits to the capacity of our tours. We are confident that the extensive cleaning measures in place from our motorcoach partner, Arrow Stage Lines, will help mitigate the spread of any illness moving forward.

Our cancellation policy remains an industry leader. The vast majority of our tours still allow our travelers the opportunity for a full refund up until the day before departure, for any reason. Please see each individual tour webpage or brochure for specific cancellation policies.

Will I have to sit in the same seat the whole tour?

On motorcoach tours, seating is rotated daily at the discretion of the Tour Director to ensure each person enjoys equal parts of the motorcoach. It also helps you get to know the other travelers!

How active are your tours?

Certain tours require more physical activity than others. Some sites visited have limited motorcoach access. Travelers should be in reasonably good health. Moostash Joe Tours requires that persons requiring assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsible for providing the assistance. Each situation is unique and every attempt will be made to accommodate your specific needs. Travelers needing special assistance or have dietary restrictions must notify Moostash Joe Tours at the time of booking. If you may be concerned about a tours activity level, please contact Moostash Joe Tours.

What motorcoach company do you use and what should I expect?

Moostash Joe Tours uses Arrow Stage Lines exclusively. All motorcoaches are designed for ultimate comfort, superior safety and sleek styling equipped with restroom, video capabilities, individual electrical outlets and WIFI. (Please Note: WIFI connectivity is often disrupted, unavailable and slower than you are accustomed). The restroom on the motorcoach is there for your convenience. Our tours make a comfort stop every 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Arrow Stage Lines employs highly trained, courteous, professional drivers. Their number one priority is to ensure the safety of all of those on-board and all those on the road.

What kind of meals are included?

Nobody gives you more great food and more included meals on your tour than Moostash Joe Tours! Most meals are served at a local favorite restaurant with either a set menu of a few different options or buffet-style.

What kind of hotels do you stay in?

Moostash Joe Tours takes great pride in providing you with the best quality hotels. Each hotel is reviewed each year to ensure you are staying in clean, comfortable rooms with approachable, pleasant staff members. Many times, our hotel relationships and partners have spanned over decades! The majority of our hotel stays will be at Drury Hotels, Hampton Inn and/or Holiday Inn properties. Please see each individual tour brochure for the tours hotel list.

What is your refund policy?

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise. Moostash Joe Tours makes every attempt to recover the funds allocated to your specific tour. In most cases, a full refund of your deposit will be made if you cancel before the final payment due date (unless otherwise noted). Please see each individual tour brochure for the tour specific cancellation penalties. No shows will not be refunded.

What are tour directors and step-on guides?

A professional Moostash Joe Tour Director will accompany you for the complete itinerary and is in full charge of all the details in order to make your tour more enjoyable. Moostash Joe Tours prides oursevles in the professionalism, experience and quality of our Tour Directors. Local step-on guides are also provided in some cities and/or areas to enhance your overall experience.

Do you offer discounts?

Absolutely! Most of our tours offer an “Early Booking Discount” good for $50-$200 off per person! Please see each individual tour brochure for specific discounts and booking deadlines. We recommend getting your deposit in as early as possible as many of our tours sell out very quickly!

What is luggage handling and what are luggage requirements?

Handling of one piece of luggage per person at hotels is included in the price of the tour (where available). You will also be provided a luggage tag to fill out and attached to your handled luggage. Please secure this to your bag before arriving to your tour. We also highly recommend you keep your carry-on bag the size of a small tote or soft-sided bag as there is very limited overhead room on the motorcoach. You are responsible for transporting your carry-on bag at all times.

Passengers requiring additional luggage, such as CPAP machines and/or other small medical devices are welcome to travel with them as an additional carry-on. We recommend you do not leave these devices unattended during luggage handling procedures. You are responsible for handling this device to and from the motorcoach and will not receive an additional luggage tag. Passengers requiring mobility devices, such as wheelchairs and/or walkers must notify Moostash Joe Tours at the time of reservation. Electronic mobility devices such as scooters are not permitted for travel with Moostash Joe Tours.

Documentation, Religious Services, Suggested Dress

Documentation: When traveling outside the United States, a valid passport is required. We recommend your passport be valid for at least six months from the return date of your tour. When flying within the United States, a government-issued photo ID is required. When cruising, additional check-in documentation will be required.

Religious Services: We encourage you to attend the church or service of your choice while on tours if conditions and time allow. We are unable to make any special provisions of transportation to attend these services and will be on your own. Our mission is to help people discover the wonder and majesty of God’s creation through travel.

Suggested Dress: Suggested dress is casual throughout the tour. We recommend packing and dressing in layers as weather conditions can fluctuate. In preparation for your tour, please check the area forecast for each destination to be traveled.

Do you offer single and triple occupancy rates?

Single occupancy prices will be noted on each of the individual tour brochures and tour web page. Triple occupancy prices are also available upon request and subject to availability.

Do I need to pay any gratuities while on the tour?

The gratuity will be provided for luggage handling services, step-on-guides and for all included meal functions. The traditional end-of-tour gratuities for your tour director and driver are not included in your tour cost. To reward them for their performance, this is handled individually, and not as a group. We recommend $4.00-$5.00 per person per day for both the tour director and driver (you may want to tip more for outstanding service). Some cruises and international tours may also suggest additional gratuities. If applicable, suggested amounts and additional details will be included in your final travel documents.
